The preschoolers started their morning by doing an ocean themed coloring sheet. They had a choice between a shark and starfish. Many of them colored the background to look like water.
During circle time today, we read a story about shellfish and crabs. The preschoolers were so intrigued to learn more about these ocean animals. For a bit of movement this morning, the preschoolers practiced their crab walks. They thought this was so fun and loved moving around like this.
During Jesus time, Zippy came to visit and talked to us about feeling sad for doing things that weren’t right. We reminded Zippy that as long as he was sorry for his sins, Jesus would forgive him. We helped cheer Zippy up again.
Our projet of the day was to make a crab walking on the beach. We did this by painting a half paper plate red, and adding legs, eyes and claws. After that we glued them to the paper and then painted some glue underneath the crab. The preschoolers then sprinkled sand onto the paper to make it look like the crab was walking! They enjoyed this project very much!
Have a great day!
