The preschoolers started their day by writing and drawing in their notebooks!
During circle time we read a story called “My Green Green Garden” by Mercer Mayer. We learned about the hard work that goes into prepping, planting and keeping a garden! After the story we talked about the many things that can be grown in the garden. After that, we practiced singing our new chapel song. The preschoolers were loving it so much that we sang it over and over and made a game out of the song!
After snack, we sat down for Jesus time. When we sat down for Jesus time, the preschoolers noticed a trail of footprints. I explained that each footprint would be helpful in telling our story for today. Each preschooler got a chance to pick up a footprint and bring it over to me.
Our project of the day was to create flowers out of different shapes of paper. The preschoolers were able to design and create their own flower. It was very clear to see that some were flowers, others were more abstract, but beautiful nonetheless. 🙂 These were kept at school and will be displayed in the hallway for a class garden!
We ended our day by watching a song all about the letter “X” on the Smartboard. It was such a catchy song, that by the end all of the preschoolers were dancing and grooving!
I hope you have a great weekend!
