The preschoolers started their day by coloring in their notebooks. The preschoolers love showing what they draw and telling us all about it.
During circle time, we learned about the things that a plant needs. We used a diagram to help us learn that a plant needs sunlight, water, soil and air. We compared it to the things that we need to survive!
During snack time, I showed the preschoolers a science experiment that we would be doing this week. I added food coloring to water and placed white carnations in each vase. We are going to see what happens to each flower over the next few days. The preschoolers made a prediction that the flowers would change to the color of the water.
Our project of the day was to create a garden. The preschoolers sponge painted with flowers of different shapes and colors. They put as many as they wanted and when they were finished, added stems, leaves and grass if they chose!
These will be left at school to be displayed in the hallway!
During Jesus time, we read from our Story Bible and heard the story of Jesus walking to Emmaeus. The Story Bible is a great resource for preschool because it provides wonderful pictures and stories that are easy for the preschool students to understand!
Have a great evening!
