The preschoolers started their day by coloring the letter X; our letter of the week! After that the preschooler had some free play time while I called some over to work on portfolio projects.
During circle time we talked about the parts that make up a plant! The preschoolers were very attentive and soaked the information in! After that we read a story about how a seed grows! They were so intrigued and loved looking at the pictures.
While outside at recess, the preschoolers were called over to plant seeds. Each preschooler scooped some soil into a cup, used their finger to create a hole, dropped the marigold seeds inside and watered their plant! These will be left at school for the next two weeks so we can observe and track their growth!
We had our vision and hearing screenings this morning as well. The preschoolers were complimented on their good behavior! 🙂
The project of the day was to make a picture that showed each part of a plant. The preschoolers were so good at following directions and continued to learn as we completed the project.
To end our day, we read a story called “The Tiny Seed” by Eric Carle. The preschoolers loved this book and answered and asked questions!
Have a great evening!
